Sustainability at Kristin means taking care of our community and environment for current and future generations. The Council of Sustainability helps our school achieve this vision.
Kristin students, staff, and parents come together to help make our community more sustainable. We have big goals for environmental pursuits, and there is plenty of room for everyone to get involved. Connect to our network of sustainability-related groups and initiatives:

Kristin is a recognized GreenGold EnviroSchool. We joined the program in 2018, when some students and teachers decided to take Kristin's sustainability initiatives to the next level. In 2022, we reached GreenGold, the highest possible EnviroSchool level. Read more about our ongoing journey at the Kristin EnviroSchools special site.
You can now explore all sustainability-related initiatives in one place. Kristin has many environmental/service groups, dedicated to environmental action and community service. Kristin also supports many ambitious student projects that are helping us be more sustainable. Discover all these initiatives in our Initiative Showcase.
The Council of Sustainabilityâs role is to monitor Kristinâs activities and make sure we are making progress on the larger, school-wide, goals.
Kristin students and staff are involved in many teams and groups that run the activities that drive our sustainable progress.
If you are a new student, an aspiring leader, or an interested staff member/adult you may be wondering what this website can do. It is the central place for everything sustainability at Kristin. We can help you add your content to this site if you have a new initiative, and we can also help you navigate the complexities of the Kristin community. The kaitiaki of the site, The Council, can help.
