Hello! My name is Cara. I’m currently in year 11 at Kristin School, and a part of the Council of Sustainability. I joined the council in 2021. I am very passionate about animals, the environment and keeping our community sustainable. I have also run a lot of projects and work closely with the Roots and Shoots club. I am hoping to make a difference to our community, country and world and to inspire our future generations to be as passionate as I am.
Hi! I'm Imogen and I'm in Year 11. Sustainability has been a passion of mine for a very long time, and I've been involved with a plethora of sustainable initiatives in and outside of school. Spending time in Africa growing up led to me having a specific interest in the area of social sustainability, but I'm still passionate about economic and environmental sustainability too. I'm super excited to be part of an awesome group of rangatahi who will drive sustainable change at Kristin.
Hi, I’m Isla, I’m currently in year 11 and joined the Council of Sustainability 2020. I am very passionate about the environment so I feel that the Council of Sustainability is a great way for me to continue this passion and embrace it even more. The world needs to become a more sustainable place and I am eager to be a part of this. I also wish to inspire future generations so they can carry on trying to make the world a better and more sustainable place.
Hi there, my name is Jocelyn and I am in year 9. I started raising awareness about the environment in year 5 when I represented my class in the student council. I then joined CoS in 2021 and did a presentation about the bins at Kristin and what goes in which bin. I really want to help restore the environment and help the world be a more sustainable place.
Hello! I’m Jerry, and I am thrilled to have been part of Kristin’s Council of Sustainability since 2024. I have been supporting our community’s sustainability programs through my commitments in and out of school, in youth and in the community. Being part of the council, I believe that we all have a collective responsibility to take the initiative, small or large, in any shape or form, to stand together to achieve our sustainability goals. I look forward to working with a team, inspiring Kristin and promoting the preservation of our connection with the land.
Hello! My name is Miriam and I joined the Council of Sustainability in 2021. I am passionate about animals and the environment and believe that they are worth protecting. I hope that by being on the council I can educate, inspire and make long-lasting change within Kristin School and the wider community. I am passionate about protecting and raising awareness for the environment, and for everyone to be able to experience and enjoy it. Hello, my name is Will. I joined the CoS in 2024, and I am currently in year 8. I am interested in basketball, swimming, and keeping our school sustainable. I am also really passionate about e-waste and how we can use it to drive sustainability in Kristin School. I also want to make a large effort to make sure people are educated about e-waste and how it works. I am excited about making a change for the better in our school.
Hey, my name is Zoe and I joined the council in 2024 as a year 10 student. I have always had an immense passion for the outdoors, which has led me to both notice and help prevent the sustainable issues that are present everywhere which I have built a strong interest in. I love serving the community in every way possible and being a part of this council allows me to do so, even better than I could.
