Recently, New Zealand was hit by Cyclone Gabrielle, which has severely affected many people around the country. The cyclone caused many issues such as landslides, flooding, power outages and lots of property damage. 11 people have died and 13 are still missing. The areas that have been the most heavily affected are Hawkes Bay, Gisborne and Northland. This resulted in an estimated 9000 people displaced in Hawkes Bay and 3718 in Northland and Auckland.
Many people are still struggling from the aftermath of the cyclone and have been left without homes (especially in Hawkes bay), but there are ways in which we can help.
